A circular and ruggedly constructed steel table is mounted on heavy-duty ball bearings, steel fabricated supports rigidly secured to the door.  The edge of the table is fitted with circular ring to prevent the components from falling down when the table is in rotation.  The Turn Table top is provided with 12 mm thick steel perforated floor for protection against abrasion. The table drive is mounted on the door of the cabinet and consists of an electric motor, reduction gear-box and belt drive. All parts of drive unit are enclosed in guard.

WORKING OF THE MACHINE

The machine is designed for automatic efficient shot blasting of castings and other metallic components having various sizes.  The pieces are to be hanged on the rotating Hook where they are blasted inside the chamber.

Once the machine is started, the blast wheel comes into rotation.  No sooner does the wheel attain its maximum speed, the shots are automatically fed by a solenoid valve and pneu­matic cylinder opening mechanism.  These shots are propelled on the moving components at high velocity thereby cleaning them.

After blasting, the shots fall down inside the hopper of the cabinet and are  fed to the boot of the bucket elevator which in turn lifts the material and feeds it on to the top of screen.  The usable shots;  the unusable shots (fine) and heavy dust will be filtered through the screen and unusa­ble shots (bigger size) and other big particles will stay on the screen and should be removed from time to time.

The shots which have passed from the screen are subjected to an air wash system which drains all the dust and broken shots.  Only usable ones come to the storage hopper which are re???cycled. The fines and broken shots come to a refuse hopper and are rejected from the system.  The fine dust produced in the cabinet is absorbed by the Dust Collector.

The machine has ample of safety measures to avoid any prob­lem.  A limit switch is provided at the door which does not permit any operation of the Blast Wheel unless the door is properly closed. 

Every motor has its individual overload relay which will not permit over???loading of any motor.  Furthermore, an "EMERGENCY OFF" switch is given which when pressed will bring the entire system to stand still.
